CITI Reseach Security Training

In response to the new U.S. Department of Energy research security training requirement, a new CITI Research Security Training has been added to the Personnel Compliance Tab (Figure 1) in Funding Proposals. The Research Security Training will display the ‘Last Completed’ date rather than an expiration date.

Currently, the CITI Research Security Training is only required for DOE project personnel who are considered “covered individuals”. DOE requires covered individuals to have completed the training within 12 months prior to new proposal submissions.
