Change in MyRA Account Request Process

The process for requesting user accounts in MyRA has changed.

User accounts for Pitt employees are now automatically created in MyRA, so that the Self-Registration account request form in MyRA is no longer required (see Figure 1). Please see the associated Quick Guide for detailed instructions on Creating a MyRA Agreement.

New Organization Request Form in MyRA

The Contracting Party Pop-up window in MyRA has changed. When an organization is not listed in MyRA, use the link to request the addition of a new organization (see Figure 1). Please note: The manual entry option for all new agreements has been removed (see Figure 2). Figure 1.

UPDATE - New MyFunding Award Instrument Type

The University has seen a significant increase in the federal government’s issuance of Other Transaction Agreements (OTAs) over the past several years. To better track OTAs in our electronic records systems, the MyFunding award instrument type now includes Other Transaction Agreement (OTA) as an option (see Figure 1).

The SF424 forms that are used for System-to-System (i.e., via Grants.Gov) submissions have been upgraded in MyFunding to allow for NIH FORMS-H submissions. Upgrades include:

REMINDER: New Sponsor/Subrecipient Email Requests

The PERIS™ Team continues to receive a large number of requests to add new sponsors/subrecipients to MyFunding with incomplete details. Therefore, as a reminder, when a Sponsor or Subrecipient is not listed in MyFunding, contact the PERIS™ Team at peristeam@pitt.edu to have the organization added to the module for selection. Please include the following three (3) items in the email to expedite your request: 1. Funding Proposal number 2. Sponsor/Subrecipient name 3. UPDATE: MyFunding Upgrade of the SF424

The SF424 forms that are used for System-to-System (i.e., via Grants.Gov) submissions have been upgraded in MyFunding. As a follow up to the update that was released on January 10, 2022, changes made to the display order on the Research & Related Senior/Key Person Profile and Project/Performance Site Location(s) forms in the SF424 application can now be saved (see Figures 1 & 2 for examples).

Follow-up - Upcoming SF424 Upgrade in MyFunding

As a follow-up to the below notice about the Upcoming SF424 Upgrade in MyFunding, proposals that do not require Forms-G can continue to be submitted system-to-system (i.e., via Grants.Gov) in MyFunding. The SF-424 forms that are used for system-to-system (i.e. via Grants.Gov) submissions will be upgraded by our MyFunding vendor in early January 2022 to include NIH Forms-G. For proposals that need to be submitted prior to the SF-424 upgrade, please prepare and submit via Workspace or ASSIST.

Blended IDC Rate Calculations Update in MyFunding

In response to user feedback, the Facilities and Administrative (F&A)/indirect cost (IDC) rate calculations for blended rates have been updated in MyFunding. MyFunding displays a blended (average) IDC rate when the budget period crosses fiscal years (FY) that have different IDC rates. The blended rate has been updated to calculate by months instead of by days to align with user spreadsheet calculations. For example in Figure 1, Period 1 crosses fiscal years 2021 and 2022. The IDC rates for FY21 and FY22 are 56.5% and 59%, respectively.

Change in MyFunding Notification - Changes Requested by Department

In response to user feedback, the ‘Changes Requested by Department’ email notification has been modified to include members of the proposal team (see Figure 1).
