Due to the large number of sponsors in MyFunding, it may be necessary to conduct an advanced search \ to find a sponsor. To conduct an advanced search when developing a funding proposal, click on the box with the three ellipses (Figure 1). A new window will open where you can search for the Sponsor’s official name (e.g., National Institutes of Health and not NIH (Figure 2).

How to Manage Deliverables in MyFunding
On an Award in MyFunding, an optional activity called Manage Deliverables (Figure 1) is available from the menu on the left side of the WorkSpace. With this activity, a list of deliverables can be identified with a specific due date and frequency for each. Additionally, 30-, 60-, and 90-day automatic reminders for each deliverable can be set up.
Clinical Trial Question Updates in MyFunding
To align with the Clinical Trials Office, we have added additional questions to the General Proposal Information SmartForm in MyFunding. When choosing a ‘Primary Purpose’ for the project, follow-up questions regarding clinical trials will be displayed.
If 'Clinical Trial' is selected as the primary purpose (Figure 1) of the project, the Clinical Trial phase and the Clinical Study Registry (CSR) Number will be required (Figure 2).
How to Update Your CITI Program Profile
To ensure CITI trainings are populated in MyFunding, please confirm that your CITI profile uses your Pitt email address as either the primary or secondary email address on your account.
How to Manually Adjust F&A Rates in Budget SmartForm
When developing a budget in the MyFunding module that does not use the F&A rates found in the current rate memo, Question 5 should be marked ‘No’, which will allow the user to enter the applicable rate to be applied and the reason why the standard rate is not being used.
Can I Withdraw a Funding Proposal in MyFunding?
Individuals listed as Department Administrator, Editor, or Principal Investigator on the funding proposal can execute the ‘Withdraw Proposal’ activity (Figure 1).

The PERIS™ Team has seen an increase in NIH errors due to duplicate titles in SF424 applications.
This error occurs when the Descriptive Title on the SF424 is identical to another application already in the Commons (see Figure 1).
